Michigan:  The MaComb Academy of Arts and Science, Armarda Area Schools, The Utica  Community Schools, and the Mount Clemens Community Schools.
The Institute was written into a major USOE Voluntary Public Schools of Choice grant entitled Alliance for Academic Excellence (AAE)  awarded to these three school districts in Michigan.  The Institute conducted a primary program of professional development for the partners, one aspect of which was to develop in-house leadershp and facilitator capacity so that the districts can ultimately stand alone and implement our procedures themselves.
Las Vegas: Rose Warren Empowerment School in the Clark County School District.
In August, 2008, The Institute began the first phase of a multi year program of professional development and enhancement of school culture for  the  Rose Warren Empowerment School in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.  The school's grade levels are PK -5 with the following demographics:  Hispanic - 70.9%; Black/African American - 8.7%; White - 16.6%; Asian - 3.7%; and American Indian - 0.1%.
South Australia:  Learning to Learn.
The Institute plays a central role, intially undertaken by Renate and Geoffrey Caine, in Learning to Learn.  Learning to Learn  is a large scale, leading edge education reform program being undertaken by the Department of Education and Childrens' Services in South Australia.  It is now into its eighth year and involves more than 200 schools.  Renate and Geoffrey Caine are two of the international colleagues who have been contributing to the effort.  The recent contribution of the Caines lies in their clarification of the path of professional development that the project is following:  a path that begins with improving direct instruction and then leads towards constructivist, learner centered teaching in which direct instruction plays a part.
