The Reggio Emilia region in Italy is home to what is widely regarded as the best program of early childhood education in the world.  They have a wonderful blend of the arts -what they call the hundred languages of children (Edwards et. al. , 1998), real world experience, community involvement and superb teaching..

The Center for Ecoliteracy, which has a superb program for developing ecoliteracy in schools, using environment based, complex projects (such as gardens) grounded in Fritjoff Capra's work on living systems.

The Convergence Education Foundation, which funds project based programs for the purpose of  positively influencing youth toward engineering, science and mathematics careers.

Edutopia, founded by George Lucas.  A project based approach to what works in public education.

The Stupski Foundation works with leaders and school districts to accelerate academic achievement, college readiness and readiness for success in work and life.


The Manchester Bidwell Corporation and its subsidiaries, Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild (MCG) and Bidwell Training Center combine to create a superb model for arts, education and training.

Learning to Learn  is a large scale, leading edge education reform program being undertaken by the Department of Education and Childrens' Services in South Australia.  It is now into its eighth year and involves more than 200 schools.
