The challenge is to find ways to effectively communicate to the public about learning, teaching and education.

Businesses and philanthropic foundations which invest in and seek to improve education have a great deal of influence.

Our goal is for the combined resources of educational philanthropy to be directed towards initiatives grounded in the best of what is known from research and experience in order to educate society at large about how people learn, what good teaching looks like and how education works.

There is no recipe for creating a good school or learning community.  However, there is an essential philosophy that must be in place for good education to take place.

We owe it to our children, the future and to ourselves to work together to support the type of education that can best serve us all.
How is it possible for one aspect of a system to keep its essential  features when almost everything else is changing radically?
Every person on the face of the planet masters life and culture by means of natural learning.  What possible reason could there be for excluding from schooling what ALL of us do naturally?
